Los Angeles Re-Signs Hernández for 2 Years
Wednesday, January 15th, 1969: Reports began circulating several days ago that Esteban Hernández would re-sign with the Angels, but didn't materialize until today when the club officially confirmed BNN's reports.

Details were sketchy, though Los Angeles did say Hernández would be with the club 2 years beyond his current deal.

Hernández is batting .291 lifetime with 748 hits, 161 doubles, 10 triples, 117 home runs, 429 RBIs to date. He has also scored 354 runs.
Dallas, Waikiki Swap Players
Monday, January 13th, 1969: The Baseball News Network is reporting that Dallas and Waikiki have agreed in principle to a swap that will send 28-year-old left fielder Javier Delgado to the Waves with 27-year-old left fielder Jeremy Morrison, 23-year-old minor league starting pitcher Roger Hubbard, 22-year-old minor league starting pitcher Ignacio Barrera, 22-year-old minor league first baseman Félix Ríos and 19-year-old minor league catcher Luis Aguilar joining the Eagles. Dallas's general manager would not confirm the trade, but a team representative close to the negotiations said the deal is official and is now only awaiting approval from the league.

To date Delgado has a .314 career batting average and has totaled 64 home runs.

Acorns, Locusts Confirm Swap
Monday, January 13th, 1969: The Acorns have reached a deal with Salt Lake City, sending a 4th round draft pick to the Locusts in exchange for 27-year-old minor league reliever Xavier Montoya. Reports had been hinting at a deal in recent days, but weren't confirmed until this afternoon.
